Portugal is a fascinatingly beautiful country. I have visited many places all over Portugal and my favorite is Cascais and its surrounding cities and towns along the coast. Cascais I have been coming to Cascais for several years now...can't believe I haven't written a blog about this beautiful hidden gem in Portugal yet. I first discovered it on one of the Europe tours. I prefer independent travel to group tours, only joined group tours for an orientation to countries I haven't been. That was one of the orientation group tours that brought me to this lovely walkable coastal town. I then came back repeatedly year after year. The first year I stayed at a hotel on the outskirt of town which, though had a beautiful seaview especially at sunset, I found it not so convenient.
